近日，2021年寧波市茶花友誼證書授予儀式隆重舉行，寧波諾丁漢大學商學院院長馬丁洛克特教授登臺領取“茶花友誼證書”這份寧波授予外國專家的最高榮譽。

■茶花是寧波的市花，“茶花友誼證書”是為感謝和表彰在甬外籍人士對寧波發(fā)展的大力支持和在友好交往中所做出的杰出貢獻。

在頒獎現(xiàn)場，洛克特教授表示，“我很榮幸獲得這個獎項，這反映了寧諾教職員工的辛勤工作和卓越能力。我很高興能夠為寧諾的發(fā)展及寧波市的發(fā)展做出貢獻。”

洛克特教授自1975年首次到中國研究考察，就與中國一直保持著緊密聯(lián)系。20世紀80年代，他參與了中國社會科學院的研究項目，對中國經(jīng)濟特區(qū)開展調(diào)研和分析。洛克特教授還在英國廣播公司（BBC）全球新聞服務頻道上多次就中國問題發(fā)表見解。

2017年6月起，洛克特教授擔任寧諾商學院院長一職。在他的帶領下，寧諾商學院引進了一大批來自世界各地的高層次人才。專業(yè)及學科建設不斷發(fā)展，金融財務與管理于2019年被評為國家級“一流”課程，商學院的所有本科專業(yè)都被認定為市重點科目，國際商務專業(yè)獲得了寧波市政府授予的“重點學科”稱號。洛克特教授還推動成立了商學院顧問委員會，加強商學院與業(yè)界的聯(lián)系。

與此同時，洛克特教授積極在學術界和國際市場上推廣寧波。他于2018年成為《亞太工商管理雜志》的主編，曾多次在包括國際商務學會(AIB)等在內(nèi)的國際和中國學術會議和活動中發(fā)表演講，為寧波在中國和國際的聲譽做出貢獻。

洛克特教授曾在牛津大學、劍橋大學、帝國理工大學等世界名校從事學術管理、科研教學工作超過25年，曾為理特咨詢公司（全球第一家管理咨詢和技術咨詢公司）、約翰路易斯（英國最大的百貨公司）等全球知名企業(yè)提供長達16年的咨詢服務。在加入寧諾商學院前，他曾在阿什里奇國際商學院和霍特國際商學院擔任分管教學事務的全球院長和戰(zhàn)略管理學教授，并兼任幾所大學的校董委員會成員。從2008年起，洛克特教授一直擔任英國高等教育質(zhì)量保證機構QAA的評審委員。

Professor Martin Lockett awarded 2021 Ningbo Camellia Award

28 September: Professor Martin Lockett, Dean of the Faculty of Business (FoB) at University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) and a professor of Strategic Management, received the 2021 "Ningbo Camellia Award" from the Ningbo Municipal Government.

The Ningbo Camellia Award is the city's highest honour for foreign talent, recognising their contribution to local development, whether in business, technology, culture, or education.

When speaking of the award, Professor Lockett said, "I'm delighted to receive this prestigious award, which reflects all the hard work and competence of academic and professional staff at UNNC. I'm pleased to have contributed to University’s development and more widely to Ningbo City".

Since first visiting China in 1975, Professor Lockett has maintained a strong bond with the country. In the 1980s, he participated in a research project with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences on industrial management, followed by observation of China's then-new special economic zones. He has also repeatedly voiced his positive opinions about China on media, notably BBC World Service and the China Global Television Network (CGTN).

Since he started serving as the Dean of FoB in June 2017, Professor Lockett has made substantial contributions to the University. Under his leadership, FoB has recruited a large number of highly talented individuals from all over the world. Additionally, he has promoted the development of undergraduate programmes at FoB. All undergraduate programmes offered by FoB have been recognised by Ningbo City. The “International Business” programme has been awarded the title of “Key Discipline” by the Ningbo Municipal Government. The BSc Finance Accounting and Management programme was awarded National Level “First Class'' Programme in 2019. Professor Lockett has also facilitated the establishment of the Business School Advisory Council, which strengthened the relationship between our business school and industry.

At the same time, Professor Lockett is also actively promoting Ningbo in academia and international market. Being the editor-in-chief of the Asia Pacific Journal of Business Administration since 2018, he has given multiple speeches at Chinese and international academic conferences such as the Academy of International Business (AIB), contributing to the reputation of Ningbo in China and the world.

Professor Martin Lockett has over 25 years of experience in academic management, research, and teaching at top British universities like Oxford and Cambridge, as well as 16 years in strategic consulting, business development, and large-scale organisational change at international companies. Before joining UNNC, Professor Lockett was the Global Dean at Ashridge International Business School and professor of strategic management at Hult International Business School. He has also been a reviewer at QAA since 2008.
