8月31日下午，省教育廳專職副總督學舒培冬一行，來到寧波諾丁漢大學檢查開學準備情況、校園安全管理情況，指導學校落實各項防控和保障措施，為開學做好保駕護航。

寧波諾丁漢大學執(zhí)行校長尼克·邁爾斯教授首先向舒培冬一行表示熱烈歡迎，并向他匯報了學校各項開學準備工作。他說，學校結(jié)合自身實際，正在有序進行秋季學期開學的各項工作，確保廣大師生安全、教學有序開展。舒培冬表示滿意和放心。

在寧波諾丁漢大學黨委書記應雄、副校長沈偉其、黨委副書記董紅波等校領(lǐng)導的陪同下，舒培冬一行實地查看了寧波諾丁漢大學理工樓，與科研人員親切交談并詢問他們的教學與科研工作。

在醫(yī)學影像中心，他聽取了中心主任王成波副教授介紹的無液氦MRI等前沿項目后，尤為感興趣并仔細詢問了技術(shù)原理。在土木工程實驗室，舒培冬代表省教育廳，向?qū)幹Z教師代表李波副教授送上花束，提前向全體教師致以節(jié)日祝福。舒培冬還親切詢問了李波的教學與科學工作，并感嘆寧諾青年才俊輩出。

隨后，舒培冬一行來到寧諾圖書館參觀考察。他對圖書館內(nèi)環(huán)境，濃厚的學術(shù)氛圍以及各類學生搭建的創(chuàng)意空間印象深刻。舒培冬說，“這樣的氛圍非常好。能夠真正讓學生和老師喜歡的建筑才是好建筑。”

在寧諾圖書館參觀考察

舒培冬一行還實地考察了寧波諾丁漢國際生公寓樓。為進一步提升師生的校園生活體驗，今年暑期學校對包括宿舍衛(wèi)生間的干濕分離、家具和地板更新、走廊改造、公共廚房建設等進行了整體改造。

舒培冬在參觀后頻頻點頭，并叮囑要切實做好國際生的疫情防控工作；要落細落小落實工作措施，牢牢守住安全防線，確保師生在安全、整潔、健康的環(huán)境中學習和成長。

Deputy General Educational Inspector of Zhejiang Education Department visits UNNC

31 August: Shu Peidong, Deputy General Educational Inspector of Zhejiang Education Department (ZED), visited the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) to inspect the campus opening work for the autumn term.

UNNC Provost, Professor Nick Miles met and greeted Shu in the Peter Mansfield Building, and briefly introduced the opening preparation work of the University.

During his visit, Shu inspected the University’s Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Research Centre. After listening carefully to the basics of the Centre presented by Dr Chengbo Wang, Director of the MRI research centre, Shu inquired about the development of the cutting-edge cryogen-free MRI technologies.

As the “Teachers’ Day” is approaching, Shu also hoped to send his greetings and express his best wishes to UNNC academics. He presented a bouquet of flowers to a staff representative, Dr Bo Li, Associate Professor of Civil Engineering, and learned about his teaching and his research progress.

Later, Shu visited the new library of UNNC. He was impressed by its capacity, the strong academic atmosphere and the various additional spaces available for student creativity in the library. “This approach to architecture is the kind that is well admired by students and teachers alike."

While inspecting the living area, Shu spoke highly of the efforts made by the University to improve students’ campus experience. He commented that it is vital to implement effective pandemic prevention and control methods, and further emphasised that the security of students and staff is always the top priority.
