成都理工大學(xué)創(chuàng)辦于1956年3月15日，由國務(wù)院批準(zhǔn)建立，3月27日，高等教育部和地質(zhì)部聯(lián)合發(fā)文，以重慶大學(xué)地質(zhì)系、西北大學(xué)和南京大學(xué)地質(zhì)系的工科部分為基礎(chǔ)，同時抽調(diào)北京地質(zhì)學(xué)院、東北地質(zhì)學(xué)院部分干部教師組建成都地質(zhì)勘探學(xué)院。成都地質(zhì)勘探學(xué)院1958年更名為成都地質(zhì)學(xué)院。成都地質(zhì)學(xué)院1993年更名為成都理工學(xué)院。

2001年由教育部批準(zhǔn)組建成都理工大學(xué)，學(xué)校先后由地質(zhì)部、地質(zhì)礦產(chǎn)部、國土資源部直屬，2000年劃轉(zhuǎn)地方，成為中央與地方共建、以四川省人民政府管理為主的省屬重點大學(xué)。2010年11月3日，國土資源部與四川省人民政府簽署共建成都理工大學(xué)協(xié)議。2017年9月，學(xué)校進入國家“世界一流學(xué)科”建設(shè)高校行列。

經(jīng)過60多年的建設(shè)與發(fā)展，學(xué)校已成為以理工為主，以地質(zhì)、能源、資源科學(xué)、核技術(shù)、環(huán)境科學(xué)為優(yōu)勢，以化工、材料、電子、機械、信息科學(xué)、管理科學(xué)等學(xué)科專業(yè)為特色的多科性大學(xué)，擁有學(xué)士、碩士、博士三級學(xué)位授予權(quán)。

Overview

Chengdu University of Technology was originally established on March 15, 1956 with the approval of the State Council. On March 27, the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Geology jointly issued a document that based on the engineering departments of the Geology Department of Chongqing University, Northwestern University and Nanjing University, at the same time, some cadres and teachers of Beijing College of Geology and Northeast College of Geology were selected to establish Chengdu College of Geology and Exploration. Chengdu College of Geology and Exploration changed its name to Chengdu College of Geology in 1958. Chengdu College of Geology changed its name to Chengdu College of Technology in 1993.

Chengdu University of Technology was established in 2001 with the approval of the Ministry of Education, which was successively under the Ministry of Geology, the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of Land and Resources. In 2000, it became a provincial key university co-constructed by the central and local governments, mainly administrated by Sichuan Provincial People’s Government. On November 3, 2010, the Ministry of Land and Resources and Sichuan Provincial People’s Government signed an agreement on co-construction of Chengdu University of Technology. In September 2017, CDUT was listed as one of the universities for the national initiative of “World-Class Disciplines” construction.

With the construction and development over 60 years, CDUT has become a multi-disciplinary polytechnic university, strong in geology, energy, resourcescience, nuclear technology and environment science, and characterized by chemical engineering, materials, electronics, mechanics, information technology and management science. It has the right to grant bachelor's, master's and doctor's degrees.

CDUT provides scholarship forinternational students as follows:

●For doctoral candidates:

registration fee (600 RMB) free, tuition(24000 RMB per year) free, accommodation fee (1500 RMB per year) free,insurance fee (800 RMB per year) free, and living allowance 1500 RMB per month. (ten month per academic year for 4 years of study.)

●For master degree candidates:
